Brother Jimenez how it worked out

You may remember Brother Jimenez. One thing we do is try to limit the grant each family gets so as to spread the opportunities to as many families as possible. However, with brother Jimenez, we felt that he needed a little extra capital.  He has some land, however, all his animals were stolen or killed and he was unable to grow anything. We determined that he could use a little more help.  We asked him if he would be willing to sell us some of his stories.  This helps Operation Family Freedom provide content so our donors can see what life is like in a communist country. If you would like to read his stories they can be found here Jimenez- A servant of Jesus Christ, Socialism’s intrusion into Venezuela, and Life after Hugo Chavez.

Brother Jimenez’s report of what he did with his grant is as follows:

My name is Brother Jimenez* and I live in Venezuela. A few months ago I told you my story and how my life has been in recent years. Almost all my life I dedicated myself to raising animals and planting, but from one moment to another, everything I had was disappearing due to various circumstances. I was going through a difficult situation, but despite that, my goal was to start raising animals again and gradually increase them. Then I found out about the Operation Family Freedom Foundation. I wrote to them and told them about myself and they with great understanding and affection gave me their support. I received a grant from him and it was a great help to me and my wife. This help allowed us to buy two Creole pigs (a male and a female) to start breeding again and to reproduce over time. I also bought seven small laying hens that will also breed over time, and so far I have bought a small goat to raise. My goal is to buy more animals over time. It is not so easy because prices increase every day, but now with this start, thanks to the foundation, I have much more courage and I know I can do it. With the grant money, I also had the opportunity to buy some spare parts that I needed to repair a tractor that I have at home, which I will use to plow the land and sow little by little. It had been a long time since I had been able to repair it. I am very grateful to all the people who support the Operation Family Freedom Foundation with their donations and help us Venezuelans to have a new beginning and move on. It is a blessing for all. Thanks again.
