Why you should own your own business

Venezuela became one of the Latin countries with the highest unemployment during these many years, I remember that people from other countries came to our territory looking For new opportunities to grow professionally. Companies needed staff to handle increased production in their workshops, so the job offers were extensive, in addition, companies gave employees training opportunities inside and outside the country.

The salaries and benefits were more than enough to support the family and enjoy some luxuries, so most strove to have an education laden resume and experiences to be hired by the company. Perhaps the same thing happens in your country, where people still strive to achieve a job that offers you enough benefits to sustain your life until you reach old age. However, today the reality in Venezuela is different, after the arrival of socialism and its negative effects on companies and industries added to the devaluation of the bolivar, working for others became an illogical idea, here are some of the reasons.

Miserable salary

Who would be willing to work for 8 hours a day, and 6 days a week for a

salary enough to buy just one toothpaste? I think you can imagine how low the salary is today in Venezuela, no matter how many Sometimes the government tries to increase it, finally, the hyperinflation that we live will end devouring it. Today’s salary represents 0.5% of the price of the basic food basket.

 Shortage of benefits

On the other hand, the benefits offered by the companies, even the government has no life insurance, health insurance, transportation, job security, or food stamps.  Who could work for another without receiving something that benefits him? Walking long distances because there is no gas for the bus, going to work sick because there are no medicines, or to work without having eaten all day, this is a path to certain death.

It is best to be independent

The Venezuelan has realized that the best way to survive is to be independent, or in other words to be self-sufficient, which is to have the ability to provide for himself and his loved ones. Having your own business is the most feasible for us, it represents having the freedom to set a work schedule, work from home or nearby, adjust prices to the dollar, use our talents and abilities, and ultimately work towards our well-being. Many have decided to start their business with what little they have, they activate their ingenuity they trade everything you can imagine, ice, used clothing, unused artifacts, sale of cash or Venezuelan sweets, in order to earn something extra, it may not be very much, but it helps to solve some situations that a salary cannot do.

I believe that the change in perspective regarding entrepreneurship in Venezuela has been very positive, we lack resources, equipment, and new knowledge, but we have learned that it is better to work for ourselves.
